Rules
OwnSpot is a public leaderboard. Rank is the bid — nothing else.
How ranking works
- Listings rank by total bid, highest first.
- On a tie, whichever listing reached that total first stays above.
- No votes, no algorithm, no quality score. Money in, rank out.
Bids
- A listing’s bid is cumulative. Raising from ₹1,000 to ₹2,500 costs ₹1,500 — you only pay the difference.
- Minimum first bid: ₹99. Minimum top-up: ₹99 more.
- Bids never expire in V0. No resets, no decay, no seasons.
- Enter the same URL to raise an existing listing instead of creating a duplicate.
Payments & positions
- Ranks update only after server-side verified payment confirmation.
- A position cannot be reserved during checkout. Rankings may change while you pay; your final rank is what your verified total earns at that moment.
- Failed or cancelled payments change nothing on the board.
- You are purchasing sponsored placement on a public leaderboard — not guaranteed impressions, traffic, clicks, customers, or time at any position.
- Sponsored ranking. Position reflects amount paid, not product quality or endorsement.
Clicks
- Outbound clicks to listed products are counted publicly and best-effort deduplicated; obvious bots are filtered.
Founding listings
- The first 100 legitimate listings carry a permanent Founding number. It does not affect ranking and cannot be purchased later.
Prohibited content
Listings may not include:
- Gambling and betting
- Adult content
- Illegal products or services
- Malware, phishing, or scams
- Deceptive financial schemes
- Illegal drugs; tobacco and nicotine products
- Political campaigning
- Extremist or hate content
- Piracy
- Misleading medical claims
- Affiliate or referral spam
- Link shorteners that hide the destination
- Crypto/Web3 promotions
Removals & refunds
- We may hide or remove listings that violate these rules or the law.
- Getting outbid is not grounds for a refund.
- Refunds are considered only for clear platform mistakes (e.g., a duplicate charge caused by our technical failure, or a verified payment that failed to activate a compliant listing).
- Listings removed for deliberate policy violations are not refunded.
